Former Special Adviser to Benue state Governor Samuel Ortom on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Titus Tartenger Zam has joined the race to be the next governor of Benue state.
Rightly so, his campaign banners flooded social media sparking reaction from close watchers.
The former Adviser had severally debunked the idea of contesting against his former boss. At one incident, he said, “I have enjoyed a very robust and cordial working relationship with my principal, the executive Governor of the state, and no one has ever sold the idea of betraying the trust and brotherhood established between me and his boss to become his opponent in any arrangement. I am not nursing any ambition of contesting any gubernatorial election.”
Mr Zam was a key member of governor Ortom’s carbinet and is largely believed to be part of his failure having precided over the utilisation bailout funds that was marred with irregularities and currently being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
