Benue varsity medical school shutdown over student’s protest

Benue state University medical school has been closed following a protest by students over poor power and water supply held on Monday.
It was gathered that there had been a lingering problem of poor power and water which was not solved by the management despite several complaints from the students.
According to the students, power was only made available during weddings and other functions held in the premises of the College.
A statement signed By the Acting registrar, Mrs Catherine Terlumun Bur said, “The management of Benue State University Makurdi has directed the immediate closure of the College of Health Sciences Benue State University Makurdi for two (2) weeks.”
The college will be reopened on Saturday, 27th October 2018.
