Some stakeholders in Adoka community of Otukpo local government played host to APC Benue governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Jime and his entourage at the residence of a former commissioner of police, Comm. Samuel Abiche Akaula yesterday.
In his speech, the former police chief expressed gratitude to Rt. Hon. Jime for finding time to visit Adoka community considering his tight schedule, urging him to see Adoka as his second home and expect massive votes from them come 2019 because they know he has the Idoma nation very close to his heart.
Also speaking, the Zonal (Benue-South) Chairman of the party, Alh. Mohammed Alhasan re-echoed the words of the earlier speaker and reiterated that Rt. Hon. Jime always has the Idoma nation at heart.
He further expressed optimism in the victory of the of the APC at the forth coming general elections in Adoka and the entire Benue-south senatorial district.
Responding, Rt. Hon. Jime thanked the people of the zone for their firm support for his candidacy. He added that was beginning to realize that the bond between him and the zone was beyond the fact that he is married to an Idoma woman, but more of the fact that the people of the zone had found in him a worthy partner over the years and promised to always uphold that trust reposed in him.
The event which was supposed to be a private visit, turned public as several APC bigwigs of the zone and other numerous party supporters trooped into the residence to greet the APC governorship candidate who also doubles as their in-law.
